PRINCETON, N.J. – The University of Pennsylvania women's swimming and diving team kicked off 2025 Ivy League Championships on a high note, claiming the first of what it hopes will be many medals Wednesday evening at Princeton University's DeNunzio Pool.
 
Penn closed the night with a bronze medal and school-record time in the 800 free relay as the quartet of Kayla Fu, Jenna Jacobs, Anna Moehn, and Katya Eruslanova touched the wall in third place.
 
The Quakers finish up the opening session in fourth place with 102 points.

*Penn originally took fourth place in the 800 free relay to close the night, but disqualifications to both Harvard and Columbia put the Quakers on the podium with a time of 7:09.66. The mark breaks a school record originally set by Lia Thomas, Margot Kaczorowski, Anna Kalandadze, and Bridget O'Leary in 2022, a time of 7:09.91.
 
*The Quakers recorded a sixth-place finish in the 200-medley relay, as Amy Qin, Izzy Pytel, Maggie Hu, and Fu clocked a 1:39.96.

It's the first full day of individual events for the Quakers as the 500 free, 200 IM, 50 free, one-meter dive, and 200 free relay takes place at DeNunzio Pool. Prelims are set for 11 a.m. with the finals set for 6 p.m., all sessions streamed live on ESPN+.
