Bergstrom, Moehn Eye 1650 Free at NCAA Championships Wednesday

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. - After a strong showing at the Ivy League Championships and ECAC Championships, placing second and fourth, respectively, the University of Pennsylvania women's swimming and diving team is sending two swimmers to the NCAA Championships. Seniors Sydney Bergstrom and Anna Moehn will be representing the Red and Blue at this year's NCAA postseason meet in the 1650 freestyle. Their event will take place on the 18th of March.

Bergstrom is returning for a third year after getting 36th in the 1650 free last year. At the Ivy League Championship, she clocked a 16:02.63 for first place, one of two Penn victories at the event. This earned her a First Team All-Ivy honor.

Moehn also has a history at the NCAA Championships as this is her second year being invited to the meet. Last year, she placed 21st in the 1650 free. At Ivies, she was just behind Bergstrom finishing in second place with a time of 16:06.59. She made the Second Team All-Ivy for her performance.

The Championships will start on Wednesday, March 18, with the 1650 free the first event to take place.
