For 100 years, The Palestra has been synonymous with the University of Pennsylvania. One of the most recognizable arenas in the country, The Palestra has played an integral role in the experience of generations of student-athletes, alumni, families, and fans. This centennial anniversary is an opportunity for every generation of Penn Athletics fans to leave their mark - not only by celebrating The Palestra’s remarkable history, but by investing in its future. This year, we are setting ambitious goals for the future of our programs. With the support of our community, our marquee Palestra sports aim to reach the following:
- Basketball: 100 donors giving $1,927+
- Gymnastics: 100 donors giving $200+
- Volleyball: 100 donors to the annual fund
- Wrestling: 100 donors giving $1,000+
To help reach our goals, we are introducing a year-long opportunity to deepen your connection with The Palestra: the
1927 Society.
Created exclusively for the Palestra's 100th anniversary, the 1927 Society recognizes donors who choose to make a special commitment to varsity funds during this historic year. In addition to the Penn Champions Club's six annual fund levels, the 1927 Society introduces memorable opportunities for involvement celebrating 100 years of the Palestra.
