WHAT IS NIL?

With the passing of Senate Bill No. 381 on June 30, 2021, the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania ushered in a new day where student-athletes can profit off their name, image, and likeness (NIL). To maximize opportunities created by this new legislation, Penn Athletics now offers resources, services, and educational opportunities for all Quakers student-athletes. 

Penn-I-L is a collaboration of Penn Athletics and the University of Pennsylvania with the goals of: 

1. Ensuring compliance with state law, as well as University and Penn Athletics policy/procedure; 
2. Providing foundation education for all student-athletes on name, image, and likeness; 
3. Offer educational opportunities on brand development, professional development, and content creation.
