PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – The Ivy League released their All-Ivy teams Wednesday, with the University of Pennsylvania women's swimming and diving team landing two First Team All-Ivy and six Second Team All-Ivy selections.
On the First Team All-Ivy side of things, seniors
Sydney Bergstrom and
Sadie Howard earned the nods with their first-place performances at the Ivy League Championships this past week. Bergstrom claimed the top spot in the 1650 freestyle with a time of 16:02.63, punching her ticket to the 2026 NCAA Championships. Bergstrom was also recognized as Penn's Academic All-Ivy selection for her efforts in the swimming pool and in the classroom. Howard earned her spot by winning the 3-meter dive with a 331.25. That score broke the previous record on the 3-meter dive by nearly 15 points.
The Second Team All-Ivy selections include senior
Anna Moehn, who placed second in the 500 & 1650 free, junior
Kate Handley (100 breast), junior
Kate Levensten (200 back), and sophomore
Amy Qin (100 back). The Quakers also earned Second Team in the 400-medley relay, with the team consisting of
Amy Qin,
Kate Handley,
Maggie Hu, and
Kayla Fu.
The Quakers ended their Ivy League season on the highest note in program history, placing second at the Ivy League Championships courtesy of the performances above. The Quakers also secured the best regular season in a decade with a 10-2 final tally. With only ECAC Championships left on the schedule, the Quakers will look to this year as a boost for the future of the program.
