How do I book an event?
Please complete the
facility rental request form on our website based on your affiliation. A member of our team will reach out to you within 2-3 business days to discuss your request.
What facilities can I choose from?
DRIA facilities available for rent are listed on the rental request forms. Browse our athletic facilities on the left side of the page. If you need help picking the perfect venue, please email us at
pennathevents@upenn.edu.
What kind of events can be in your facilities?
Our facilities are versatile and capable of holding many different types of events ranging from high level athletic events to intimate gatherings. Browse our previous events here.
Do you have a preferred caterer/food provider?
Yes. Aramark is our designated caterer and provides concession services for DRIA events. They are part of our day-to-day operation at Penn athletics and provide excellent service.
How can I tell which date is available?
Please fill out the
facility rental request form or email
PennAthEvents@Upenn.edu with your preferred event date. One of the Business Development managers will contact you to arrange your ideal time and day. Availability is subject to change without notice and your reservation is not complete until a Business Development manager has directly confirmed your request.
What fees should I be aware of when planning my event?
Overall, you should be prepared to pay fees for:
- Room/Venue rental
- Set-up and tear-down
- Facilities Work Orders
- Catering
- Parking Permits
- Security (if necessary)
- Staffing
*Pending the scope of your event additional fees may apply.
I need equipment for my event. Are equipment rentals available?
If you are interested in renting equipment for your event (dodgeballs, basketballs, cones, etc.), please contact Penn Campus Recreation with your
equipment request or note this with your Business Development manager.
When will I know my event is confirmed?
A rental agreement will be issued between your organization and the University. To begin this process, please fill out the
facility rental request form. Insurance is required for all necessary events and the Certificate of Insurance with the following requirements must be presented to Event Management prior to your event.
Commercial genereal liability insurance to the limit of $2,000,000 with respect to bodily injury or death of any one person, $2,000,000 with respect to bodily injury or death of any number of persons in any one occurrence.
Workers' compensation insurance at statutory amounts offording protection to User's employees and volunteers.
Each of the above insurance coverage shall be evidenced by a certificate of insurance which names the Trustees of the University of Pennsylvania as an additional insured for each line of insurance other than Workers' Compensation. Should User utilize the services of a subcontractor, then these insurance requirements shall apply to the subcontractor(s) as well.
What policies should I be aware of when planning my event?
DRIA reserves the right to hold organizations financially responsible for damage or harm to space(s) resulting from the organization's use. Events must comply with all applicable University policies, procedures, rules, and regulations including but not limited to use of nonapproved alcohol consumption, Drugs, Non-discrimination, Campus-Wide Open Space Policies and Procedures, Use of Facilities, and Code of Student Conduct. Posting signage for temporary events on exterior facility spaces including fencing, staking, or any attachment to permanent spaces is not permitted. Additional policies may apply and will be reviewed prior to the event.
What other programming is run through the Business Development Department?
Our team not only runs student groups, Penn affiliated, and non-Penn affiliated events, but also the Penn Campus Cup and the Campus Recreation Adventure Camp.
I want to host a hospitality event during a sporting event, like football, basketball, and volleyball, how do I request this?
