BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The University of Pennsylvania men's and women's cross country teams closed out the 2025 campaign competing at the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional on Friday.
Penn women secured a sixth-place finish scoring 231 points, while the men's team placed 10th with 305 points.
Sarah Fischer led the women's team in the 6k crossing the finish line with a personal-best time of 20:39.5, scoring 31st.
Anna Weirich was closed behind scoring 36th at 20:50.2, followed by
Gabrielle Jones in 41st at 20.59.3m giving Penn three runners inside the top 50.
Rounding out the team's score, Izzy Rodriguez crossed fourth for the Quakers at 21:16.0 (53) and Courtney Kaiser fifth with a time of 21:32.6 (71).
Kofi Fordjour paced the men's team placing 38th with a 10k time of 30.51.3. Penn's top five runners crossed the finish line within 49 seconds of each other.
Shane Murphy finished 60th stopping the clock at 31:16.9, followed by Sahil Dodda in 63rd at 31:18.6 and Nick Carpenter in 66th at 31:23.1.
George Keen took fifth for the Quakers scoring 80th overall with a time of 31:39.1.
The Mountaineers from West Virginia took first in the women's race with 56 points, Princeton won the men's competition with 45 points.
