INDIANAPOLIS – Junior
Matthew Fallon completed a successful final night at NCAA Championships on Saturday, taking home first-team All-America honors with a career-best second-place finish in the 200-yard breaststroke.
Fallon swam a new Ivy League and school-record time of 1:48.48 to finish as the runner-up, concluding the race behind now three-time NCAA Champion in the event, Leon Marchand (1:46.35). Fallon's time is the seventh-fastest all time, establishing himself as the third-fastest 200 breast performer in NCAA history.
The Warren, N.J. native is now a two-time first-team All-America after placing third in the event in 2022.
Next up for the standout, a trip to U.S. Olympic Trials in Indianapolis in June, with a spot on the U.S. National Team on the line. Fallon hopes to represent the United States at the Paris Games in July.
