PRINCETON, N.J. – The University of Pennsylvania wrapped up competition at the Ivy League Championships, placing eighth out of the eight teams competing with 677.5 points.
The highlight of the night for the Quakers, once again, was sophomore
Watson Nguyen. For the second night in a row, Nguyen claimed the gold in a breast event, this time in the 200 breast with a 1:52.03. A near photo-finish behind him was junior
Peter Whittington, who placed second with a 1:52.10.
Nguyen becomes the first Penn men's swimmer to earn two Ivy League victories at one championship meet since Mark Andrew did it in 2019. Across the weekend, the Quakers claimed two first places, two seconds, and two other top ten finishes.
