Anna Kalandadze and sophomore
Anna Moehn completed the first day of competition at NCAA Championships Thursday at the University of Georgia's Jack Bauerle Pool at Gabrielsen Natatorium.

Both Penn swimmers competed in the 500-yard freestyle event with Kalandadze just missing out on the final session with a 19th-place finish (4:39.73) with Moehn taking 59th with a time of 4:46.60.

Kalandadze and Moehn will turn their attention to preparing for Saturday's 1,650 free at UGA. Trials are set to begin at 10 a.m. with finals at 6 p.m.
