PRINCETON, N.J. – The University of Pennsylvania women's swimming and diving team finished off an impressive comeback, passing host Princeton on the final day and winning the Big Al Invitational Sunday at DeNunzio Pool.
The Quakers finished with 1,072 points in first, just ahead of the Tigers in second (1,004), Columbia in third (685.5), and George Washington fourth (606.5).
Penn ended a strong calendar year with a huge victory, entering the homestretch to Ivy League Championships with tons of momentum.
Anna Moehn picked up the Red and Blue's lone victory of the day, doing so in the very first event in the 1,650 freestyle.
Quaker Notemeal
*Moehn swam a 16:04.71 to take home an NCAA B-Cut time in the mile, headlining a 1-2 finish for the Quakers as
Sydney Bergstrom finished second at 16:17.31.
Anna Boeckman placed fifth at 16:42.07,
Jenna Jacobs in seventh (16:57.63), and
Abby Druhan in eighth (16:59.89).

Kate Levensten produced an NCAA B-Cut time in the 200 backstroke with her time of 1:56.59.
Katya Eruslanova took fourth at 1:59.97 and
Charlotte Holliday clocked a 2:01.32 to place seventh.
*It was another NCAA B-Cut mark for the Quakers, this time for
Joy Jiang in the 200 butterfly with a time of 1:58.48.
Lily Zhang took fourth at 2:01.41 and
Maggie Hu swam a 2:01.74 to place fifth.
Vanessa Chong rounded out the A-Final with a time of 2:01.89, good enough for sixth place.

Kayla Fu's 49.78 in the 100 free put her in third place, followed by
Amy Qin in seventh at 50.77.
*In the 200 breaststroke,
Meredith Holcomb swam a 2:15.33 to finish in fourth place, while
Izzy Pytel timed in at 2:17.42 to take sixth.
*Penn had a fourth-place finish in the 400 free relay as the quartet of Fu, Eruslanova,
Keara McGowan, and Qin swam a 3:22.26.
