PHILADELPHIA – The University of Pennsylvania men's swimming and diving team made history on Saturday afternoon at Sheerr Pool, defeating Harvard for the first time since 1971 with a 176-124 victory to conclude Ivy competition in the regular season.
The win snaps a 49-meet losing streak to the Crimson dating back to the 1971-72 campaign. Harvard leads the all-time series, 77-3, since the first meet back in 1932.
Penn took home 11 victories in the meet, out of the 16 events. Three of those went to
Matthew Fallon, while
Andrew Dai won twice.
