PHILADELPHIA – It was a Senior Day to remember for Catherine Buroker Saturday afternoon at Sheerr Pool, as the University of Pennsylvania women's swimming and diving team fell to Harvard, 187-113.
 
The Quakers fell to 4-5 overall and 2-5 in Ivy meets in the final conference meet of the regular season. The Crimson improve to 6-0 overall on the year.
 
Quaker Notemeal
*Buroker notched victories in both the 500 (4:58.37) and 1,000-yard freestyle (9:58.85) to pace Penn's swimmers. Both events turned out to be podium sweeps for the Quakers as Amelia Girotto (5:00.19) took home second and Anna Kalandadze (5:00.46) third in the 500 free. Kalandadze finished just behind Sydney Bergstrom (10:05.45) with a time of 10:09.88 in the 1,000 free.
 
*Vanessa Chong also tallied a pair of wins in the 100-yard butterfly (56.10) and the 200 IM (2:05.51).
 
*Chong also finished second in the 200 fly (2:02.32) while Emma Stolberg swam a 2:05.71 to finish third.
 
*Aside from Bergstrom, Girotto and Chong, Abby Wickersham also found herself with a runner-up finish, claiming second in the 100 free with a time of 51.53.
 
*Sophie Henriksen finished third in the 100-yard backstroke (1:00.23) with Wickersham also getting third in the 50 free (23.99). Margot Kaczorowski got third in the 100 free (51.95), while on the diving board, Olivia Francella picked up a third-place finish in the three meter (279.53).
 
*In the 400 free relay, Wickersham, Smith, Anna Moehn and Kaczorowski placed second (3:29.17) with Lyndsey Reeve, Stolberg, Camryn Carter and Bergstrom (3:44.09) getting third. Chong, Boeckman, Smith and Kaczorowski clocked in at 1:46.12 to finish third in the 200 medley relay.
 
*Penn honored Catherine Buroker, Camryn Carter, Olivia Francella, Margot Kaczorowski, Anna Kalandadze, Keren Makhervaks, Rina Nagatani, Bridget O'Leary and Lyndsey Reeve with an opening ceremony.
