Baseball Looks To Soar Past Saint Joseph's In Midweek Affair

PHILADELPHIA – Fresh off an Ivy League series sweep of Cornell, the University of Pennsylvania baseball team hosts Saint Joseph's in a Philly showdown at Meiklejohn Stadium Tuesday afternoon.

The teams are squaring off for just the seventh time in the last 12 seasons. The teams have split each of the last six meetings, but the Quakers are 7-3 in the last 10 at Meiklejohn Stadium.

* Cole Palis snapped a 12-game homer-less streak and five game RBI-less streak in Sunday's win over Cornell. Seth Werchan also snapped five game homer-less and RBI-less streaks in Sunday's win.

* Ben Miller hit two doubles in the Cornell series, his first two in the last 11 games after hitting 11 in the first 20 games.
