PHILADELPHIA – The W. Joseph Blood Head Baseball Coach John Yurkow announced the addition of RJ Agriss to the University of Pennsylvania's baseball team's coaching staff Wednesday morning.

"We're excited to add RJ to our staff. He is a young rising talent in the industry who will make an immediate impact with our players," Yurkow said.

Agriss comes to University City following a successful first season in coaching at DeSales University, where he helped the Bulldogs reach the MAC Freedom Championship and make an NCAA Regional appearance. As the program's hitting coach, he guided DeSales to a .324 team batting average and an average of more than nine runs a game. 

Agriss joined the Bulldogs staff in the summer of 2025 after graduating from Elizabethtown College with a degree in exercise science and a minor in coaching. 

During his time as a Blue Jay, Agriss helped Etown win one Landmark Conference Championship and qualify for three NCAA Regionals. He was named Honorable-Mention All-Landmark Conference twice as a junior and senior. Agriss finished his career with 110 hits, 74 runs scored, 26 doubles, 11 home runs, and 85 RBIs.
