AKRON, Ohio – The University of Pennsylvania women's swimming and diving team finished the third day of competition at the Zippy Invitational in third place Saturday evening.
The Quakers had seven individuals swim in A-Finals Saturday with just one podium finish as
Anna Kalandadze took third in the 200-yard freestyle with her time of 1:49.05.

*Kalandadze was one of three Quakers to participate in the A-Final of the 200 free as she took third, followed by
Margot Kaczorowski in sixth (1:51.58) and
Abby Wickersham in eighth 1:52.00.
Bridget O'Leary finished second in the B-Final (10th overall) at 1:50.66.

Izzy Pytel had a tremendously strong swim in the 100-yard breaststroke, swimming a 1:01.99 to place fourth. She just nearly missed out on the Penn program record set by
Rachel Maizes in 2019 (1:01.76).
Jill Anderson was eighth in the B-Final (1:05.18).
Hannah Liu took home fourth in the C-Final (1:05.75) with
Rachel Blackwell taking sixth (1:05.97).

Anna Moehn and
Vanessa Chong went back-to-back in the 400 IM A-Final with fourth and fifth place finishes, respectively. Moehn swam a 4:23.22 with Chong clocking in at 4:23.48. The Quakers had the top two finishers in the B-Final with
Joy Jiang taking first (4:22.43) and
Hadley DeBruyn placing second (4:26.70).
Ellen Holmquist rounded out the field to take sixth place with at time of 4:27.04.
Anna Boeckman won the C-Final with a time of 4:27.04 and
Sydney Bergstrom finished just behind in second at 4:27.54.

Amber Smith got an eighth place finish in the A-Final of the 100-yard butterfly. Chong got second in the B-Final at 54.51 with
Sophie Henriksen getting first in the C-Final at 55.47.
*Three Quakers (Henriksen, Smith and Pytel) placed sixth, seventh and eighth, respectively in the B-Final of the 100-yard backstroke.
*The team of Wickersham, Kaczorowski, Smith and Moehn got sixth in the 200 free relay with a time of 1:32.76.
