PROVIDENCE, R.I. – It was a tough showing for the University of Pennsylvania women's swimming and diving team, ending up on the wrong side of a 220.5-79.5 final score Saturday afternoon against Brown at Katherine Moran Coleman Aquatics Center.
The Quakers (1-2, 0-2 Ivy) drop their second Ivy League contest to start the season after falling to Columbia at home last weekend. Penn registered just one first-place finish on the day, belonging to
Joy Jiang in the 200-yard butterfly.

*Jiang has been strong so far in 2022, showing again why with a winning performance in the 200 fly with a time of 2:01.67. Teammate
Emma Stolberg finished third at 2:06.61. Jiang also came in second place in the 200-yard IM (2:07.08).
*Along with Jiang, three others had second-place showings with
Anna Kalandadze placing runner-up in the 1,000-yard freestyle (10:14.05),
Abby Wickersham in the 100 free (51.97) and two seconds for diver
Sadie Howard in the three-meter (287.25) and one-meter (257.55).
*The 400 free relay team also came in second place as Wickersham,
Amber Smith,
Margot Kaczorowski and
Lyndsey Reeve swam a 3:30.19.

The Quakers visit Ithaca next weekend to take on Cornell and Princeton on Saturday, beginning at 11 a.m. against the Big Red. Penn will battle the Tigers at 3 p.m.
