PHILADELPHIA – Freshman swimmer
Catherine Buroker will represent Penn at the 2019 NCAA Championships after winning the Ivy League Championship in the 1,650 free with a program record time of 16:11.06.
Buroker is just the second Penn women's swimmer to qualify for the NCAA Championships in program history and the first freshman to accomplish that feat. The other swimmer to do it was Shelby Fortin, who competed in 2013 and 2014.
The NCAA Championships will take place from March 20-23 at the Lee & Joe Jamail Texas Swimming Center in Austin. Buroker will compete in the mile on Saturday, March 23.
