PHILADELPHIA – The University of Pennsylvania baseball team has its opponent officially set for the opening round of the Ivy League Tournament, heading to New Haven, Conn. to face third-seeded Brown on Friday afternoon at George H.W. Bush '48 Field. First pitch is slated for 4 p.m.
Yale clinched its second straight Ivy League regular-season title on Sunday after sweeping Dartmouth in New Haven and will host the tournament as the top seed.
Penn finished the 2025 regular season with an overall record of 20-20 and went 14-7 in Ivy play en route to its fourth consecutive appearance in the conference tournament. The Quakers won the tournament crown in both 2023 and 2024, appearing in NCAA regionals in both seasons.
The Red and Blue finished the regular season on a high note, winning five of their last six contests, which included a clean sweep over Harvard and a series victory over Brown. During their final road series of the regular season, the Quakers outscored the Crimson 30-15 to clinch their postseason berth.
Penn and Columbia are the only two teams in Ivy League history to appear in all four iterations of the postseason tournament.
