Box Score PRINCETON, N.J. – The University of Pennsylvania softball team completed their weekend series with Princeton, falling 7-3 for the series sweep.

* Gigi Ganje and Delaney Smith delivered multi-hit games, both providing two hits on the day.
 
* Caroline Putnam kept it going at the dish with another hit, giving her three on the weekend.
 
* Ella Utschig delivered a two-RBI base knock for her seventh and eighth RBIs of the year.
 
How It Happened
Princeton was the first to make a move on the scoreboard in final game of the three-game slate. In the top of the second inning, Princeton secured four runs, starting with a sacrifice fly. Two singles would bring in the other three runs to give the Tigers a four-run lead.
 
Penn responded with a trio of runs in the next half inning. Delaney Smith and Gigi Ganje continue to be a deadly combo, with Ganje getting on base and Smith bringing her home. After Jade Montgomery doubled, Ella Utschig did the same to score two.
 
Princeton would not only maintain the lead but extend it between the third and sixth innings, bringing three more home to give the contest its 7-3 final tally.

Despite the loss, Penn had multiple bright spots on the weekend. Caroline Putnam is heating up at the plate with three hits on the weekend. Jade Montgomery also tallied five base knocks. Kelly Zybura and Hannah Graveline had good outings in game three, producing two earned runs across 4.1 innings pitches.
