David Howard was a force in the box against the Pirates, tallying his second clean sheet of the season off a career-high five-saves. The goalkeeper made his most crucial save of the game in the 87th minute, stopping a penalty kick from SHU's Augustin Resch to secure the draw.

Patrick Cayelli and
Romeo Dahlen lead the Quakers' offense with four points each. Midfielder Cayelli tallied two assists and a goal in the season opener versus Loyola Maryland, while sophomore Dahlen scored his first collegiate brace.
*The Quakers earned the #21 spot in last week's United Soccer Coaches (USC) Men's Top 25.
*The Red and Blue earned the top spot in the Ivy League men's soccer preseason poll for the third straight year, grabbing 120 points and ten first place votes.
*The top four spots of the preseason poll and projected to make the 2025 Ivy League tournament, along with the Red and Blue, are rounded out by the reigning tournament champion Princeton Tigers in tied second with 107 points and five first-place votes, Cornell in tied second with 107 and one first-place vote points, and Brown in fourth with 66 points.
*Penn returns a stacked lineup to the pitch including, 2024 All-Ivy honorees senior Cayelli,
Connor Dawson,
Phillip Falcon III, and
Jack-Ryan Jeremiah, along with two other starters in defender Pratt and
Erickson Sakalosky.
*Midfielder Jeremiah is turning heads entering his junior year, earning spots on the United Soccer Coaches (USC) Midfielder to Watch and the Hermann Trophy Watch List. Jeremiah recorded 12 points in 2024, including four goals against William & Mary, Manhattan, and nationally ranked Hofstra, as well as in the Ivy League semifinals against Brown.

Scouting the Blue Hens
*Delaware carries a four-game win streak into Tuesday's matchup, topping Le Moyne (2-0), Temple (4-0), Loyola Maryland (4-0), and American (2-1) to start the year.
*Marius Stenner leads the Blue Hen's offense with six goals and 13 points. Freddy Jeffreys and Liam Penny have dished out a team-high three goals each.
*The Quakers will likely face Jojo Elliott Jr. in the box. The goalkeeper brings a 0.25 goals-against-average and 0.933 save percentage into the non-conference battle.
