Sanger was named MVP of the Delaware Invitational after she totaled 26 kills and a .523 hitting pct (26K-3E-44A) across a pair of 3-0 wins over the host Blue Hens and Saint Peter's. She led all players with 15 kills in the sweep of the Peacocks, hitting .609 (15-1-23). Earlier in the week, the junior had 10 kills and hit .308 in a win over NJIT. Overall this season, Sanger leads Penn and is third among Ivy League players averaging 3.41 kills per set, and she is ninth among Ivy players in hitting percentage (.326).
Penn (6-3)—which has won three straight matches by 3-0 scores for the first time since 2009—is at home twice this week, starting Tuesday when the Quakers host Temple in their final non-conference match of the season. On Friday, the Red and Blue start Ivy League play as archrival Princeton comes to The Palestra. Both matches are scheduled to start at 7 p.m.
