Box Score ANNAPOLIS, Md. -- The Penn Quakers took down the Navy Midshipmen in four sets to complete the Kristen Dickmann Invitational on Saturday afternoon. Penn finished the weekend with a 2-1 record, taking down Navy and Coppin State and falling to Stony Brook.

The set scores were 25-21, 23-25, 29-27, 25-21.

"I was really proud of how we ended the weekend," said head coach Tyler Hagstrom. "We had so many players step up and were shuffling different lineups out there the whole tournament."

Zada Sanger totaled 14 kills and six digs while Adell Murray went for 13 kills and seven blocks. Addison Pollock paced the defense with 21 digs while Nathalie Tsai had 22 assists and six digs.

Penn hit .279 for the match compared to .199 for Navy. Penn had 61 kills, 10 blocks, 73 digs and six aces while Navy had 60 kills, eight blocks, 61 digs and nine aces.

Farrah Eike led Navy (1-4, 0-0 Patriot League) with 18 kills and 12 digs while three other Midshipmen posted 10 kills.

HOW IT HAPPENED
SET 1 | Penn came out firing, scoring five of the first seven. Navy scored the next two before Penn went on a 4-1 run, getting a Greene kill and a pair of blocks from Murray to go up 9-5. Penn would go up by as many as five at 11-6 before Navy went on a 7-2 run to tie it up at 13-all. Kills by Kelley and Siskin made it 15-13 heading into the media timeout. The Midshipmen responded to take their first lead at 17-16 before a Greene kkill and Lewis ace put the Quakers up 18-17, forcing a timeout. Penn scored the next two to go up 20-17 and extended their lead to 23-19 after kills from Kelley and Sanger, forcing Navy's last timeout. The home team bounced back with two kills of their own to make it 23-21, leading to a coach Hagstrom timeout. Penn closed it out with a kill from Siskin and an opponent attacking error to win, 25-21. Both teams had 14 kills, but Penn had four blocks and two aces to make the difference in the frame.

SET 2 | Navy came out red hot, scoring five of the first six before Penn called a timeout. Penn was playing from behind most of the frame until a 4-0 run at 19-16 gave the Quakers their first lead of the frame at 20-19. The two teams exchanged points the rest of the set before Navy scored three of the last four to take frame two 25-23, tying the match at 1-1.

SET 3 | Penn was the aggressor in set three, scoring seven of the first 11 before a 4-0 Navy run put the home team up 8-7, forcing a timeout. Penn then scored the next five points to go up 12-8, getting two kills from Sanger and a pair of Navy attacking errors. The Midshipmen would respond, however, tallying seven of the next nine to go up 15-14 into the media timeout. The home team capped off a 5-1 run to go up 18-15, forcing Penn into a timeout. Penn went on a 3-0 run to tie it up again at 19-19, getting a kill from Murray and ace from Garner. The Quakers and Midshipmen exchanged points back and forth the rest of the way until Navy scored two straight to make it 24-23. A kill from Garner and ace from Pollock put Penn up 25-24, leading to a Navy timeout. Penn had two more chances at set point before finally putting it away, 29-27. Siskin and Moore had kills to end the frame and put Penn up 2-0.

SET 4 | The Quakers started strong again in set four, tallying seven of the first 11 points. Navy would respond, scoring seven of the next nine to go up 11-9. Penn would battle back, getting a kill from Ketstetter and ace from Tsai to go back up 13-12. The two teams exchanged points up to the media timeout, where Navy took a 15-14 lead. Penn retook the lead at 17-16 following a block by Greene and Murray. Navy tied it at 17 before Penn responded by scoring four of the next five, forcing a timeout. Garner had a pair of kills in the spurt. The Quakers accelerated to the finish line, tallying four of the final six to win, 25-21.
