FEDERAL WAY, Wash. – For the third time in his career, senior
Matt Fallon earned first-team All-America honors by finishing as runner-up in the 200-yard breaststroke Saturday evening at the 2025 NCAA Championships.
He swam a time of 1:48.87 to place second for the second year in a row. He fell behind in the first 100 yards and attempted his comeback in the final 50, overcoming Virginia Tech's Carles Coll Marti (1:48.89) but couldn't get past Indiana's Jassen Yep (1:48.30), who claimed the national title.
A three-time Ivy League champion in the event, Fallon earned first-team All-America in 2022, 2024, and 2025. He was also an honorable mention All-America honoree in the 100 breast during his freshman season in 2022.
The senior captain is an American record holder in the 200m breaststroke at last year's U.S. Olympic Trials. He went on to take 10th place in the event at the Summer Olympic Games in Paris.
