Quaker Notemeal
Penn enters Wednesday's game 1-16 on the season after a hard-fought series against Yale. With two close games this past weekend and a lot of offense, the Quakers hope to build positive momentum against the Mountain Hawks tomorrow before resuming conference play this weekend. Freshman Gigi Ganje leads the Red and Blue offensively, holding a .333 overall BA and an .803 OPS so far on the year. Last week, Ganje garnered a .445 BA across six games for Penn and hit a grand slam on Sunday for her first career home run against Yale.

Previewing the Mountain Hawks
Lehigh enters Wednesday's contest 11-14 on the year, looking to tack on in the win column for their home opener at Leadership Park. Competing in the UMBC Round Robin last weekend, they went 4-1 in the three-day tournament with their only loss coming against the Manhattan Jaspers.

The Quakers will be looking for their first win over the Mountain Hawks since 2018, and their first win in Bethlehem, Pa. since 2006. This will be the first meeting between these two teams since the 2023 season, when Lehigh swept the two-game series at home.

Previewing the Lions
Columbia enters the weekend 6-8 on the year with the series against Penn being their first conference series of the year. Playing five games in California this week, the Lions have split 2-2 with a game scheduled against Sacramento State this afternoon (Tuesday, Mar. 18). Dropping both games against Santa Clara and winning both games against Portland State, Columbia has given up a total of 30 runs across the four games while only scoring 22.

The Quakers are searching for their first win over the Lions since 2023 after being swept in the series at Penn Park last season.
