Quaker Notemeal
Penn enters the weekend 1-13 after a close battle against Seton Hall earlier this week. In the game, the Quakers came within one out of tying the game, but ultimately fell short after a relief pitcher was brought in to get the final out for the Pirates. Despite their record, the Red and Blue showed a lot of fight in the game on Wednesday, getting their bats going in the seventh inning and doing everything they could to keep themselves in the game. Madison Bauerle led the offensive charge against the Pirates, going 3 for 4 at the plate that afternoon. As Penn opens conference play, the team is determined to build on the positives from this week and turn over a new leaf in the Ivy League portion of their schedule.

Previewing the Bulldogs
Yale enters the weekend 9-10 and on a two-game win streak after victories against Holy Cross on Thursday. So far this year, the Bulldogs have been strong at home, earning a 7-1 record when playing at 5K Corral Field at DeWitt Family Stadium.

Historically, Yale has owned this matchup over the last two seasons, winning all six games in 2023 and 2024. The Quakers seek their first win against the Bulldogs since 2022, and their first win in New Haven since 2019.
