PHILADELPHIA – It was another dominant performance for University of Pennsylvania women's basketball senior
Stina Almqvist on Saturday, earning Big 5 Player of the Week honors for the second straight week and third time overall, announced on Monday afternoon.
Almqvist was instrumental in leading Penn to a 68-63 victory over Cornell, sliding into sole possession of fourth place in the Ivy League standings with just three games remaining.
She notched her second straight 20+ point effort with a game-high 25 points and nine rebounds against the Big Red, adding a block and a steal. Almqvist has recorded 20-or-more points in nine separate games this season.
The Quakers, now a game up on Brown and two ahead of Cornell in fourth place, face Dartmouth—currently on a nine-game losing streak—on Friday before heading to Beantown to face Harvard on Saturday evening.
