PHILADELPHIA – The University of Pennsylvania men's and women's track & field teams closed out the regular season on Friday hosting the Philadelphia Metro at the Jane and David Ott Center.
Kai Eisenhardt broke her own school record jumping clean through 4.11m (13' 5.75") in the women's pole vault, finishing second.
Pole Vault
Benedikt Sachta won his fourth meet of the season clearing a personal-best height of 5.30m (17' 4.50") in the men's pole vault, ranked second in the Ivy League.
Throws
Ella Neskora recorded a personal-best mark of 17.86m (58' 7.25") in the third round of the women's weight throw.
Alexa Dochat placed second with a personal-best throw of 15.40m (50' 6.25").
Angeludi Asaah sits first in the Ivy League after putting a personal-best distance of 15.92m (52' 2.75") in the women's shot put.
Kai Deines finished second among collegiate athletes competing in the men's shot put recording a personal-best mark of 16.62m (54' 6.50"). Zezo Bashir claimed third putting 15.34m (50' 4").
Jumps
Amelia Kristen placed second in the women's long jump recording a personal-best mark of 6.00m (19' 8.25").
Chloe Williams finished third at 5.73m (18' 9.75").
Freshman
Takunda Mhete jumped a distance of 14.59m (47' 10.5") in the men's triple jump, finishing first.
Kampton Kam tied his season-best height of 2.16m (7' 0") in the men's high jump.
Mark Hellwig placed second clearing a season-best height of 2.06m (6' 9").
Zofia Limbert won the women's event clearing the bar at a personal-best height of 1.72m (5' 7.75").
Avery Elliott took second clearing 1.67m (5' 5.75").
Sprints
Jocelyn Niemiec placed first in the women's 200m dash clocking in a personal-best time of 24.36.
Milan Ramey followed closely behind in second with a time of 24.45.
Aaron Stillitano recorded a season-best time of 22.13 in the men's race.
Ryan Matulonis ran a season-best time of 1:01.76 in the men's 500m, finishing first. Matulonis ends the regular season ranked first in the Ivy League.
Chloe Hassman placed first in the women's race with a time of 1:14.83.
Junior
Shane Gardner tied his school record in the men's 60m hurdles stopping the clock at 7.80.
Chikaodinaka Akazi clocked in a time of 8.61 in the women's event finishing first.
Sprinter
Christiana Nwachuku recorded a personal-best time of 39.29 in the women's 300m (first) and a season-best time of 7.55 in the 60m dash (second).
Jake Rose ran his first sub-7 in the men's 60m finishing third with a time of 6.98.
Nicholas DeVita,
Benjamin Markham,
Anikwe Duru, and Rose took home the win in the men's 4x400m relay with a time of 3:21.05.
Simone Castelluccio placed first in the women's 400m crossing the finish line with a personal-best time of 56.43.
Distance
In the Ivy League,
Kyle Miller,
Holden Emery,
Liam Going, and Nicolas Pizzarro rank first in the men's 4x800m relay with a time of 7:30.83, less than one second away from breaking the school record of 7:30.3 set in 1977.
Joseph Ruiz ranks fourth on the Quakers all-time performance list recording a personal-best time of 8:02.27 in the men's 3000m.
Sarah Fischer placed second in the women's race with a time of 9:43.72.
Lara Cota and
Miranda Schriver placed first (4:54.45) and second (4:58.55) in the women's mile, respectively.
