BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The University of Pennsylvania men's and women's cross country teams competed at the Paul Short Run on Friday, hosted by Lehigh.
The women's team finished eighth of 40 teams with 282 points, up six spots from 2024.
Senior
Lily Murphy led the women's 6k gold race for the first two-miles before dropping back to 10th with a personal-best time of 20:01.0.
Lara Cota played the long game moving up 47 spots in the final mile finishing 55th with a time of 20:51.7. Gabby Jones placed 56th clocking in at 20:51.9.
Anna Weirich followed closely behind in 62nd at 20:56.5. Freshman
Izzy Rodriguez rounded out the team score placing 99th at 21:17.1.
Kofi Fordjour crossed the finish line first for the Quakers clocking in an 8k time of 21:19.7, scored 80th.
George Keen scored 129th with a time of 24:27.0, followed by
Shane Murphy at 24:47.7,
Shamus Larnard at 24:29.1, and
Liam Going at 24:53.6.
