Penn Athletics Announces WBB’s 2025-26 Promotions and Themes

PHILADELPHIA – Penn Athletics is excited to announce the following fan promotions for women's basketball's 2025-26 season.

November 7 vs. King's College (4 p.m.) 
Palestra t-shirt Giveaway
  • The first 150 fans in attendance will receive a FREE Palestra t-shirt!

Students who attend both the women's and men's games of the opening night doubleheader will receive free pizza between games and be entered to win one of the following prizes. Students must check in on Penn Rewards to be eligible.  
  • Courtside seats for a mutually agreed upon game
  • Nike Prize Pack
  • Basketball signed by Coach McCaffery and Coach McLaughlin

 Big 5 Student Ticket priority access
  • Students in attendance are eligible to receive priority access to Big 5 Classic tickets and will be registered for student bus information. Must attend 4 out of the first 8 men's and women's basketball games.

November 18 vs. Norfolk State (6 p.m.)
Community Night
  • West Philadelphia schools, church groups, youth teams, and community groups are eligible to receive complimentarily tickets to enjoy an evening of Penn women's basketball at the historic Palestra. Group leaders can request tickets for their organization by clicking here. 

 Big 5 Student Ticket priority access
  • Students in attendance are eligible to receive priority access to Big 5 Classic tickets and will be registered for student bus information. Must attend 4 out of the first 8 men's and women's basketball home games.
 
November 24 vs. Saint Joseph's (6 p.m.)
Most Valuable Professor
  • Join us as we celebrate Penn Women Basketball's nominated faculty members on the court for during halftime. All professors and faculty members in attendance will receive a special welcome announcement during the game.   

 Big 5 Student Ticket priority access
  • Students in attendance are eligible to receive priority access to Big 5 Classic tickets and will be registered for student bus information. Must attend 4 out of the first 8 men's and women's basketball home games.
 
December 4 vs. Maine (6 p.m.)
Buzzer Before the Break
  • Students are invited to enjoy a cozy, stress-free night of basketball before finals. Free hot cocoa will be available while supplies last and students are encouraged to wear their comfiest PJs to the game.
 
December 7 vs. TBA
Big 5 Classic presented by Toyota 
  • Students will receive FREE tickets, t-shirts and transportation to Finneran Pavilion
     
December 19 vs. Washington State (11:30 a.m.)
Education Day
  • Local schools, community organizations and educational programs are invited to Education Day at the Palestra. Students will be permitted to bring their own bagged lunches to the Palestra and enjoy a fun-filled day including…
    • A free educational workbook featuring Penn Women's Basketball-themed puzzles to practice math, geography, spelling, and more.
    • Poster making station
    • Opportunity to participate in on court promotions and special experiences
    • Postgame autograph session with the team

January 3 vs. Princeton (2 p.m.)
Camper Reunion
  • Penn Women's Basketball campers will be invited back to the Palestra to watch their counselors compete. Campers will have the opportunity to participate in
    • Pregame high five tunnel welcoming the Quakers to the court
    • Special halftime competition, to be determined
    • A postgame autograph session with the team
 
Disney Game
  • Disney Day returns to the Palestra. Fans are encouraged to dress as their favorite Disney character or wear their Mickey/Minnie Ears. They will enjoy Disney-themed sing-a-longs during timeouts, prizes for on court promotions, and a special surprise giveaway

January 17 vs. Harvard (2 p.m.)
 Throwback Day
  • Penn Athletics is going retro on Throwback Day. The game will feature retro-style game presentation elements, throwback graphics and top music from previous decades. Fans will be encouraged to wear their best retro fits or Penn gameday gear.
 
Collect-Them-All Giveaway
  • Penn Athletics is introducing an improved athletics-wide giveaway program throughout the 2025-26 school year. Students can collect the 2025-26 women's basketball pin by visiting the Penn Rewards kiosk at this game. They will also receive a complimentary lanyard to display the pins, while supplies last.
 
January 19 vs. Dartmouth (2 p.m.)
MLK Jr. Day Celebration
Penn Athletics will recognize recipients of the MLK Community Involvement Recognition award. Members of the African American Resource Center  will also be welcomed and recognized during the game.

  
January 30 vs. Cornell (6 p.m.) 
Hoops for Troops
  • Penn Athletics will honor military members and their families throughout the game. Military Appreciation initiatives include: 
    • In partnership with VetTix and the VA Hospital, fans will be able purchase tickets to be donated to veteran and active military members and their families. Click here to support the Seats for Soldiers Program.
    • Fans will have the opportunity to nominate a military hero in their life to be honored during the game. Click here to nominate a service member.
    • Military Care Package Drive: fans can bring a variety of care package items to be donated to active military members during their deployment. Donation bins will be available at each entrance.
    • A special station setup in the concourse where fans can write letters of support and encouragement to active and deployed service members
    • Active and veteran military members will be recognized on court and on the videoboard throughout the game

 Play4Kay
  • Penn Women's Basketball will host the annual Play4Kay game, Uniting coaches, players, officials, and fans in the fight against all cancers affecting women. The team will wear Pink warm-ups and pink pom poms, ribbons and other accessories will be available for fans, while supplies last. Together, we are working to END CANCER
 
January 31 vs. Columbia (5 p.m.) 
National Girls and Women in Sports Day Celebration
  • The annual NGWSD Clinic returns. Young girls will have the opportunity to experience a variety sports, learning skills from Penn's female varsity student-athletes. Registration includes access to the pregame clinic in Rockwell, a ticket to the women's basketball game, and participation in a postgame autograph session with the team.
 
Alumnae Night
  • Penn Athletics and the Penn Champions Club will honor the 2001 and 2016 Ivy League Championship teams on court. Join us as we welcome all Penn Women's Basketball alumni back to the Palestra. 

February 21 vs. Yale (2 p.m.) 
Unity Game
  • Penn Athletics is proud to partner with student-athlete affinity groups and the office of community engagement and well-being to present the annual Unity Game. The game will feature…
    • On court recognition of Penn Athletics' affinity groups including Black Student-Athletes at Penn (BSAP), Women's Athletics Association (WAA), Asian Pacific Indigenous Athlete Coalition (APIAC), International Student-Athlete Association (ISAA), Student-Athlete Wellness Ambassadors (SAWA), and Athlete Ally.
    • A special t-shirt giveaway for students, signifying unity across campus
 
March 7 vs. Brown (2 p.m.)
Senior Day 
  • Join us as we recognize the class of 2026 with a special pregame senior ceremony
