PHILADELPHIA – The University of Pennsylvania gymnastics team will travel to the Nation's Capital on Sunday for the Lindsey Ferris Invitational with George Washington, Fisk and Yale. The Quakers have had recent success at the invite, winning twice in the last three years. They claimed the title last year with the third-highest score in program history (195.375).
Penn is coming off a second-place finish (193.250) at its Senior Night.
Marissa Lassiter won the floor exercise at 9.825.

New Kid on the Block
Mimi Fletcher was named GEC Newcomer of the Week for her performance on the balance beam last week. She scored a 9.875, earning back-to-back second-place finishes. The mark is tied for the fourth highest in Penn gymnastics history.
Skye High
Skyelar Kerico finished in second place and set a new career high on the uneven bars Friday at 9.900. It's the third-best event score in program history.
Rotation Notes
*The Quakers tied for the best team score on the floor exercise at 48.600 with Lassiter taking home first place (9.825).

Jordan Barrow's 9.800 on the vault was good enough for second place. She's had consecutive podium finishes on the event.
*Kerico finished in second in the all-around with a score of 38.675.
RTN Rankings
George Washington leads the competitors with the highest Road to Nationals rankings at No. 39. Penn trails six spots behind them at No. 45. Yale is third at No. 56 and Fisk rounds it off at No. 69.
Individually on vault, Kerico sits inside the top five in vault at No. 4 and Delaney DeHaan (George Washington) is right behind her at No. 8; on bars, Kerico comes in at No. 2; on the balance beam, Fletcher slots in at No. 2; Yale's Ella Tashjian is No. 4 on the floor.
Scouting George Washington
The Revolutionaries fell to North Carolina in their dual meet on Friday, scoring a 194.525.
Sophomore Delaney DeHaan won her second all-around title (39.075) in as many weeks. She also claimed an event win on the balance beam (9.875) and split the title on the vault (9.850). The co-vault champion, Rachel Katz, was named EAGL Co-Specialist of the Week.
Penn and GW competed against each other twice in the early part of the 2024 season. The Quakers won the Lindsey Ferris Invite with their third-best score in program history (195.375) and the Revolutionaries placed first at the Towson Quad (195.175).
Scouting Fisk
Fisk placed third at the Western Michigan tri-meat, scoring a 187.450.
The team is led by junior Morgan Price. Last year Price was the first HBCU gymnast to become a USAG national champion (all-around) and subsequently was named the HBCU Sports Female Athlete of the Year. She has continued that excellence into 2025, most recently winning the bars (9.825) and tying for second place on vault (9.775).
Sunday will be the first ever meeting between Fisk and Penn as Fisk debuted its gymnastics program in 2023. It became the first HBCU to have an NCAA gymnastics team.
Scouting Yale
Yale came to The Palestra last week for Penn's Senior Meet, placing third at 191.500.
Tashjian is the No. 1 GEC gymnast on the floor with an average score of 9.838. Last week she placed second at 9.800. Sophomore Lauren Luu was named GEC Specialist of the Week after achieving the second-highest program score on the uneven bars (9.925), winning the title.
Sunday is the second of five meetings this season between Penn and Yale.
