WASHINGTON, D.C. – The University of Pennsylvania gymnastics team placed first at the Lindsey Ferris Invitational Sunday afternoon. The Quakers paced the pack with a 194.075, with West Chester finishing second with a 191.600. The host Revolutionaries placed third with 191.375, with Cornell placing fourth with 191.325.
VAULT – 48.725
Penn's best event of the day, the vault saw all five Quakers land a 9.700 or better. Sophomore
Sienna Zuccaro led the way with a 9.800, a career best. Freshman
Ananya Patanakul made her first mark at Penn with a 9.775.
BARS – 48.500
The Quakers had a three-way tie for the team-best on the bars. Juniors
Jordan Barrow and
Sophia Paris, as well as sophomore
Luci Toczydlowski, earned a 9.750. Fellow sophomore
Skylar Goodstadt was just behind at a 9.650.
BEAM – 48.425
Sophomore
Maggie Murphy got the day going on beam with a team-leading 9.800. Just behind Murphy were
Mimi Fletcher and Mani Fofana, who produced matching 9.725's.
FLOOR – 48.425
The Quakers mirrored their beam total on the floor with a 48.425. Sophomore Murphy continues her great day with a 9.750. Senior
Marissa Lassiter also earned a 9.750.
Rotation Notes
* The Quakers begin the year with two, 194 scores. The Red and Blue won both of their events to begin the year.
* Four Quakers placed first on the day, with
Sienna Zuccaro topping the vault (9.800) while
Jordan Barrow, Luci Toczydlowsi, and
