The competition features 12 of the best teams in a tournament format. Pool play begins where the four countries in each pool play each other to determine the top eight seeds. Once the seeds are set, the knockout stages will be played until a champion is crowned.
Head Coach Jun Kentwell spoke brightly about the team ahead of the IHWC.
"Having competed in the Rohrmax Cup just a few weeks ago, it was a great opportunity for us to evaluate all athletes to be considered for the 2025 FIH Indoor Hockey World Cup," said Kentwell in the USA Field Hockey World Cup roster announcement. "More than half our roster has indoor world cup experience and I hope we can bring our familiarity and continued scoring drive to the world stage."
In her sophomore season, Mandato was a regular fixture in the Quakers' lineup, playing in 13 games and recording an assist.
No. 9 USA is in Pool A with No. 2 Czechia, No. 8 Belgium and tournament-host No. 26 Croatia. They open pool play on Monday, February 3 at 3:40 p.m. against Czechia.
