PHILADELPHIA – The University of Pennsylvania baseball team embarks on its final non-conference game of the season Tuesday, visiting Delaware State in Dover at 3 p.m.

The Quakers are coming off a crucial series victory at Harvard over the weekend, officially controlling their own destiny for an Ivy League Tournament berth with one series to go.

Henseler Milestone Watch
Just when you thought he couldn't break any more records this season, Wyatt Henseler smashed the program's single-season home run record… for a third straight season on Sunday.

In a loss against Harvard in the series finale, Henseler hit his 19th home run of the year, setting Penn's single-season record for homers after doing the same with 18 in 2023 and 14 in 2022.

Henseler is now two homers from tying, three from passing Princeton's Kyle Vinci for the Ivy League single-season home run record of 21 set in 2023.

In addition, with 48 career doubles, Henseler is one from tying, two from becoming the program's all-time leader in two-baggers.

At The Plate
With another strong weekend performance, Henseler continues his climb in batting average, leading the Quakers at .361 and a slugging percentage of .823 with an OPS of 1.299 and 19 home runs, 44 RBIs and 53 hits.

Henseler (.361), Carson Ozmer (.338), and Nick Spaventa (.311) are the only Quakers hitting above the .300 mark on the year, while Henseler leads the team with an average of .431 (28-for-65) in conference play.

On The Mound
In the starting rotation, both Cole Zaffiro (4-3, 4.28 ERA) and Ryan Dromboski (2-5, 8.54) have excelled as of late, totaling 118 of the team's 366 strikeouts this season.

In the bullpen, it's been a combination of Ozmer (1-1, 3.00), Thomas Shurtleff (1-0, 3.20) and Eli Trop (3-2, 3.63) getting the bulk of the reps while both Trop and Shurtleff have been terrific in Ivy play, posting ERAs of 1.93 and 2.08, respectively.

Scouting Delaware State
The Hornets come into the day coming off being swept at LIU over the weekend. DSU has dropped four consecutive games after a seven-game winning streak.

Jaryn Sample (.354) and Evan Bouldin (.353) are both hitting above .300 for Delaware State this season with Chris Amparo leading the team in home runs (11) and RBIs (44).

Starter Kieran Etwaru (5-0, 1.98 ERA) has been terrific in nine starts this year, striking out 60 with 21 walks. DSU pitching is surrendering an average of 7.09 runs per game this year. Not only has Bouldin been a catalyst on offense this season for the Hornets, but he's been a staple out of the bullpen as well. He has posted an ERA of 1.25 over 21.2 innings of work, tallying 30 strikeouts.

Series History
Penn and Delaware State continue a series that has only been contested since 2014 on Tuesday.

The Quakers are unblemished since then, going 3-0 against the Hornets that includes two wins in Dover in 2014.
