CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The University of Pennsylvania women's tennis team continued the ECAC Championship on Saturday morning, dropping its match with Dartmouth 4-3.
Penn picked up four wins in a close matchup with the Big Green, with Gavriella Smith, Saige Roshkoff, and Maya Urata tallying the three points in the contest for the Quakers.
Junior Roshkoff tied the match up at one after cruising through her battle with Dartmouth's Brooke Hess, 6-3, 6-1. Fellow junior Smith broke the tie and pushed the Red and Blue ahead 2-1 in the match, off a 6-4, 6-2 win over Lexi Dewire. The Quakers final singles win came from a two-set victory from sophomore Urata, who topped Katie Weber 6-3, 6-4.
The fierce duo of Eileen Wang and Esha Velaga won Penn's double victory against the Big Green in today's bout. The pair edged out Peyton Capuano and Michaela Moore 6-3 to move their spring doubles record to 3-0.
