PHILADELPHIA – The University of Pennsylvania women's tennis team is set to host the Penn Invitational from Friday, Sept. 25, through Sunday, Sept. 27. The team will face athletes from Drexel and West Virginia.

The invitational will take place at the Hamlin Tennis Center. In the event of inclement weather, matches will be moved indoors to the Hecht Tennis Center.

The event will begin Friday morning with two rounds of singles, followed by one round of doubles in the afternoon. On Saturday, teams will play two rounds of doubles followed by one round of singles. Sunday's schedule will feature only Drexel and Penn, beginning with doubles in the morning and concluding with singles.

Cookie Jarvis-Tredgett looks to earn her first collegiate victories over the upcoming weekend.

Last Time Out – Tribe Invitational (Sept. 4)
*Esha Velaga went undefeated in the Green Singles Draw to win the flight title, while Athina Schlepphorst and Joleen Saw each went 3–0 in the Black Singles Draw to become co-winners.

*Velaga and Schlepphorst also went undefeated in doubles to win the Colonial Doubles Draw, with other Penn pairs earning multiple wins throughout the event.

*Tribe Invitational will mark Emma Tomova and Schlepphorst's first collegiate singles and doubles wins.

Last Time Out – ITA All-American Championships (Sept. 19-21)
*Velaga advanced to the Round of 64 at the ITA All-American Championships, earning wins over South Carolina's Pietra Rivoli and Vanderbilt's Mia Yamakita.

*After her run in the pre-qualifying draw ended, the senior competed as an alternate in the qualifying draw against No. 10 Jantje Tilbuerger.
