PHILADELPHIA – The United Soccer Coaches Association (USC) announced its All-Northeast Region teams on Monday afternoon, with student-athletes from the University of Pennsylvania men's soccer team earning the prestigious honors.
Leo Burney,
Phillip Falcon III,
Jack-Ryan Jeremiah, and
Stas Korzeniowski were all named to the First Team Northeast Region after stellar performances during the 2024 campaign.
Burney, who won Ivy League Defensive Player of the Year, led a strong Quaker backend this season, allowing opponents an Ivy League low of 16 goals to hit the back of Penn's net. The senior has docked a team-high 1,1714 minutes and has started in all 19 matches. On the offensive end of the field, Burney has tallied ten points, including four goals. The Seattle native earned his fourth consecutive First Team All-Ivy honor to be the first Quaker to win it four times in program history. Burney also works hard off the field, earning Academic All-Ivy and CSC Academic All-District honors for his performance in the classroom.
Keeper Falcon was a force in the box this year, leading the Ivy League in goals-against-average (.840) and shutouts (9) while posting a .795 save percentage. The sophomore won four consecutive Ivy League Defensive Player of the Week honors, the most in conference history. Falcon tied his career-high four saves four times against Manhattan, Brown, nationally ranked Cornell, and Dartmouth this year to highlight his first full season in the box.
Jeremiah had a breakout sophomore season, starting in all 19 battles while playing a career-high 1,586 minutes. The midfielder recorded 12 points, including four goals against William and Mary, Manhattan, nationally ranked Hofstra, and Brown.
Korzeniowski grabbed Ivy League Offensive Player of the Year after having a stellar season, tallying a Quaker-high 26 points and 12 goals. The forward sits first among the Ivies in game-winning goals (5), second in goals (12), goals (12), shots on goal (36), and third in points (26). Korzeniowski moved up in the Red and Blue's record book, holding second all-time in points (81), fifth in goals (32), and eighth in assists (17).
All four Quakers are eligible for All-American honors which will be announced later this month.
