PHILADELPHIA – The University of Pennsylvania men's and women's cross country teams travel back to Princeton, N.J. on Saturday to compete at the Ivy League Heptagonal Cross Country Championships, hosted by Princeton.

2024 Regular Season Highlights
Senior
Dylan Throop placed fifth at the Princeton Fall Classic on Oct. 18 clocking in a personal-best 8k time of 22:50.9. Throop crossed first among Ivy athletes, followed by
Luke Johnson finishing third among Ivy athletes with a personal-best time of 23:07.1.
Throop was named Ivy Men's Athlete of the Week after placing fourth at the Paul Short Run on Oct. 5 stopping the clock at 23:31.7. Johnson was first to earn the weekly award for Penn placing ninth at the Spiked Shoe Invitational at 25:07.7 (5.2M) on Sept. 13.
Liam Going led the Penn men to a first-place victory at the Main Line Invitational on Sept. 20 scoring fifth with a personal-best 4M time of 20:18.3. Going's impressive run earned him the title of Ivy Men's Athlete of the Week.
Miranda Schriver crossed the finish line first for the Penn women at both the Princeton Fall Classic 6k run (20:55.7) and the Paul Shot Run (21:02.5).
Freshman
L'Mio Edwards continues to improve on the season recording a personal-best 6k time of 20:57.6 at Princeton. Edwards made her collegiate debut placing fourth at Jersey Jam 4k with a time of 14:12.3.
Lara Cota was named Ivy Women's Athlete of the Week on Tuesday scoring first at the Haverford Invitational with a personal-best 5k time of 17:52.5.
Will Shaughnessy crossed the finish line first in the men's 4M with a time of 20:08.4, Ivy Men's Athlete of the Week.
Last Year at the Ivy Championships
Returning for the Quakers is the 2023 Ivy League Cross Championships Runner-Up,
Dylan Throop. Throop finished second in the league with a time of 23:55.2 (8k). Teammates
Luke Johnson and
Sahil Dodda earned second team honors finishing 12
th (24:28.9) and 13
th(24:29.5), respectively. Penn men finished fifth with a score of 108 points.
On the women's team,
Miranda Schriver returns to the league championships after placing 38
th last year with a time of 22:15.5. Penn women finished fifth at the 2023 Ivy League Championships with a score of 99 points.
