HAVERFORD, Pa. – The University of Pennsylvania cross country teams closed out the regular season at the Haverford Invitational on Friday.
The men's race was led by Will Shaugnessy crossing the finish line first in the four mile with a time 20:08.4.
Esfan Daya followed closely behind in second clocking in at 20:26.2.
Diego Medez Colon finished fifth with a personal-best time of 20:34.6. The men's team ran a partial team in Haverford resulting in no team score.
In the women's 6k, Penn women won the final meet of the regular season with 28 points.
Lara Cota scored first stopping the clock at a personal-best time of 17:52.5.
Sara Khiri and
Kate Hos also scored in the top-five with personal-best times of 18:37.2 (third) and 18:38.9 (fourth), respectively. Kierra Duffy (eight) and
Lily Oliver (12) completed the team's score.
QUAKER NOTEMEAL
- Penn women finished first in the 5k race with 28 points.
- Lara Cota scored first with a personal-best time of 17:52.5. Sara Khiri and Kate finished third and fourth, respectively.
- Will Shaughnessy won the men's 4M race with a time of 20:08.4, followed by Esfan Daya in second with a personal-best time of 20:26.2.
