PHILADELPHIA – The University of Pennsylvania's head women's volleyball coach, Meredith Schamun, has announced her program's Class of 2028 recruiting class. Five women—
Jenna Garner,
Jenniya Lane,
Emery Moore,
Adell Murray, and
Ellie Siskin—will join the program next fall as freshmen.
"This is a special class that will make a big impact on our growing program," said Schamun, who will be in her fourth season as head coach in 2024. "The combination of high-level attacking, offensive initiative, and overall volleyball IQ will add to the talent and depth we have returning. Getting to know this group through the recruiting process was a joy and their individual and combined personalities, drive, and passion for excellence will make a big impact!"

JENNA GARNER
5-11 | Outside Hitter
Pasadena, Calif. | South Pasadena (City Volleyball Club)
High School: Lettered in volleyball and was a two-year captain under head coach Ivy Chew … Team MVP in 2023 … Helped SP to 2023 league championship … Three-time first-team all-league from 2021-23 … Finished her career with more than 900 kills … Also played for SG Elite Volleyball Club from 2017-20 before moving to City Volleyball Club … Captain of her club teams in 2020 and 2023 … The Hidden Opponent member at South Pasadena.
Personal: Will enroll in the Wharton School of Business.
Why Penn? "I wanted to be at a school in a big city, because I find it motivating to be surrounded by people who are motivated and doing something with their life. Along with this, I love the campus feel and the community at Penn. Finally, I wanted to be part of a volleyball program that I could make an impact on. Since the volleyball program is building at Penn, I wanted to continue to expand that building with my volleyball skills."
