SERIES AGAINST THE HOYAS
The two squads are meeting for the sixth time in program history, as the Quakers maintain an unblemished 5-0 record in the series. Friday will mark the first time they have played since the 2005 season when Penn took a 3-0 victory at Franklin Field. It will be the first outing between the programs at Ellen Vagelos Field, but the Quakers have topped the Hoyas three times at home dating to 2001.
Â
LAST TIME WE MET
Back in 2005, Penn earned its second straight shutout over Georgetown with a 3-0 tally at Franklin Field.
Â
SERIES AGAINST THE DRAGONS
The Quakers are meeting Drexel for the 20th time in program history, holding a 12-7 edge in the all-time series. Penn was riding a six-game win streak into last season before falling in a tight 2-1 battle on the road. A series that dates to 1973 when Penn opened the long time series with a 5-1 victory, the Quakers have put together a 6-3 record on their home turf including a perfect 3-0 tally at Ellen Vagelos Field.
Â
LAST TIME WE MET
Penn made the short trip to the Dragons last season, falling for the first time since 2010 in a close 2-1 finish. A scoreless first half was followed with a pair of goals in the third frame. Drexel scored first in the 35th minute before
Meghan Ward put away the equalizer just 30 seconds later for her first goal of the season. With 12 minutes left in the contest, the Dragons scored the game winner on a penalty corner.

PENN'S FIRST WEEKEND RECAP
The Quakers opened the season hosting the Ivy League-ACC Crossover at Ellen Vagelos Field this past weekend, including three top-10 programs. Although Penn fell in both games, they competed against reigning national champion, No. 1 UNC, and undefeated No. 9 Louisville. On Sunday against the Cardinals, the Quakers took a 1-0 lead in the third quarter when freshman
Emily Stafford found the back of the cage for the first time in her collegiate career. However, Louisville responded with two of its own to take the 2-1 decision. Senior
Frederique Wollaert tended the cage for both games over the weekend, making seven saves.

BELIEVE IN BRYNN
Sunday's game against Drexel is the team's Believe in Brynn game, as the Quakers continue to raise awareness for Rett syndrome. Beyond wearing purple, the color of Rett support, the team rallies around the young fighter, Brynn Connor, in her battle with Rett. Rett is a developmental disorder that affects the way the brain matures, causing a progressive inability to use muscles for eye and body movements and speech.
