CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – The University of Pennsylvania field hockey team continued its 2026 season on Sunday morning in Chapel Hill, resulting in a 3-0 loss to No. 18 Old Dominion. Reese Czajkowski and Riley Thomson led the Quakers offensive attempts, each tallying four shots in the first half. Beau Lilly Barrington-Hibbert also had two shots on goal. Senior Ruby de Frees stayed in goal for Penn for the full 60 minutes, tallying six saves. 

How It Happened
In the first half, the Monarchs scored once on 2 attempts, with a goal from Serena Langendoen, assisted by Madison Zalewski and Avery Jackson. The Quakers tallied 10 shots in the first half, with four each from Czajkowski and Thomson, and one each from Barrington-Hibbert and Victoria Manzur. 

In the second half, Penn continued with offensive attempts, with two shots each from Barrington-Hibbert and Manzur, and one additional from Sydney Mandato. De Frees tallied six saves, all in this second half. However, Old Dominion's aggressive offense reigned victorious, with 11 shots total and two goals in the second half to beat the Quakers 3-0.
