PHILADELPHIA – The University of Pennsylvania cross country teams get a first look at the 2023 Ivy Heptagonal Championships course this Friday, as the Quakers will be at Franklin Park in Boston for the Battle in Beantown. Friday's races are being hosted by Boston College.
In addition, the Penn women will send a team to Lehigh on Saturday to run in the Brown Race at the Paul Short Run.

Penn's Last Time Out
Penn ran at Haverford College's Main Line Invitational on Friday, Sept. 15. The men earned a victory with 21 points, while the women took second with 39 points. The men ran a four-mile race on Haverford's campus and were led by a sixth-place finish from
Dennis Fortuna who clocked a time of 20:02.0. It was Fortuna's first collegiate victory.
Nick Carpenter (11th),
George Keen (12th),
Vidhur Polam (13th), and
Liam Going (15th) rounded out the top 15. The women were paced by a fifth-place finish from
Zoe Shetty, who finished the three-mile course in 17:20.8. She was closely followed by
Kelly Murray (6th) and
Miranda Schriver (7th), while
Phoebe White came through for ninth to wrap up Penn's top-10 finishers.
