HAVERFORD, Pa. – The University of Pennsylvania cross country teams returned to the gravel on Friday evening not far from campus, competing at the Main Line Invitational at Haverford College. The men earned the team victory with 21 points, while the women took second place with 39 points.

The men ran a four-mile race on Haverford's campus, led by a sixth-place finish by
Dennis Fortuna who clocked a time of 20:02.0. Rounding out the top 15 was
Nick Carpenter (11th),
George Keen (12th),
Vidhur Polam (13th), and
Liam Going (15th). It was Fortuna's first collegiate victory.

The women were paced by a fifth-place finish by
Zoe Shetty, finishing the three-mile course in 17:20.8. She was closely followed in by
Kelly Murray (6th) and Mirand Schriver (7th), while
Phoebe White came through for ninth to wrap up the top 10.

The Quakers split up for their next competition, as part of the team heads to Boston on Friday, September 29 for the Battle in Beantown, and the other part travels back to Lehigh on Saturday, September 30 for the Paul Short Invitational.
