PHILADELPHIA – The University of Pennsylvania softball team's Ivy League series at Columbia has been moved up a day. The two teams will play a doubleheader beginning at 1:30 p.m. on Friday and return on Saturday for a single game at 12:30 p.m.

Previewing Penn
The Quakers opened the week with a 7-0 loss to Saint Joseph's at Penn Park. The Quakers managed just three hits as
Katie Reagan and
Dana Anderson both had extra base hits.
Payton Bean pitched two scoreless innings allowing just one hit while striking out one.
In the circle,
Kelly Zybura leads the pitching staff with a 5.30 ERA as she surpassed 100 innings pitched on Wednesday. Against the Hawks, she pitched the final two innings allowing two runs on five hits.
Sarah Schneider leads the team in multiple categories including hits (31), average (.326), slugging percentage (.558), on base percentage (.387), RBI (16), home runs (4), doubles (10), and total bases (53). She is second in the Ivy League with 10 doubles. With her solo shot in game two against Yale, she hit her fourth home run of the season and the 17th of her career moving her ahead of Jessica Melendez (2010-13) for the sixth most in program history. One more and she will tie Brooke Coloma (2010-13) and Alisha Prystowsky (2008-11) for fifth most with 18.
Previewing the Lions
Columbia is 11-15 overall and 6-6 in Ivy League play. The Lions were swept at Princeton over the weekend and followed that with a 4-2 win at home over Fairfield. Columbia used a three-run sixth inning to erase a 2-1 deficit and turn it into a 4-2 victory.
The Columbia lineup includes a trio of hitters hitting above .300, Cami Neal (.330), Jaden Hill (.306), and Megan Ryono (.304). Neal (29) and Hill (30) lead the team with hits and Hill is the only player with 30 or more hits on the season and is tied with
Sarah Schneider for second oin the Ivy League with 10 doubles. Neal leads the team with 16 RBI and Bubba Gleaves is second with 14.
In the circle, Jordan Hill and Raquel Reyes have combined for 160 of the team's 189.1 innings pitched. Hill leads the Lions with a 4.85 ERA as is 5-9 with a team-leading 49 strikeouts, Reyes is 4-6 with a 5.90 ERA.
