PRINCETON, N.J. – A strong first day of competition at Princeton's Big Al Invitational has the University of Pennsylvania men's swimming and diving team in third place with 149.50 points Friday evening at DeNunzio Pool.

The Quakers made an appearance in two A-Finals during the meet, while excelling in the 200-yard freestyle relay to open the night.

Liam Campbell,
Ben Feldman and
Andrew Dai timed in at 1:19.41 in the 200 free relay to take third place.

James Curreri appeared in the A-Final event of the 500-yard freestyle, finishing seventh with a time of 4:24.17. In the B-Final,
Kevin Keil took fifth (4:24.93),
Truman Armstrong placed eighth (4:31.13).
Sam Donchi finished in seventh place in the C-Final (4:29.20).

Jack Williams took fourth place in the one-meter dive with a score of 301.75.
Cody Hopkins placed sixth with 287.75 points.

Daniel Gallagher clocked in at 1:48.01 with a fifth-place finish in the B-Final of the 200-yard individual medley. In the C-Final,
Jason Schreiber finished fourth (1:48.28),
Matt Leblanc sixth at 1:49.11.

*Feldman won the B-Final of the 50 free with a time of 20.08, while Fu took fifth (20.40). Campbell finished in fourth place in the C-Final with a time of 20.44, while
Andrew Dai took home a fifth-place finish (20.45).

*Curreri, Schreiber, Dai and Campbell swam a 3:13.41 to take sixth place in the 400-medley relay.

The Quakers will participate in six more events on Saturday including the 100-yard butterfly, 400 IM, 200 Free, 100-yard breaststroke, 100-yard backstroke and one-meter dive.
