Velaga Moves on to Fourth Day of ITA Fall Nationals

SAN DIEGO, Calif. – Freshman Esha Velaga of the University of Pennsylvania women's tennis team continues her momentum at the ITA Fall Nationals, moving on to the fourth day of the tournament.

Velaga battled hard in her quarterfinals consolation matchup to move on to the semifinals round. The first-year took a three-set match against Selma Cadar of Maryland. Velaga took the first set 6-3 before Cadar squeezed out a 7-5 win in the second set. Velaga prevailed in set three, winning 6-1 to advance to the semifinals consolation round.
