Velaga Advances to Third Day of ITA Fall Nationals

SAN DIEGO, Calif. – Freshman Esha Velaga of the University of Pennsylvania women's tennis team advanced to the third day of the ITA Fall Nationals after winning her match on Thursday.

Velaga defeated her sister Neha Velaga (Princeton) in the round of 32 consolation. E. Velaga rolled past her sister, winning the first set 6-1. N. Velaga put up a fight in the second set, scoring three points, but the first-year came out on top 6-3 to advance to the quarterfinals consolation round.
