SAN DIEGO, Calif. – Freshman
Esha Velaga of the University of Pennsylvania women's tennis team completed her first day at the ITA Fall Nationals on Wednesday afternoon.
Velaga battled Anika Yarlagadda of North Carolina, the reigning NCAA Champions, in a hard-fought match. Velaga tallied two points in the first set, but Yarlagadda came out on top 6-2. Velaga scored one final point in the match, with Yarlagadda eventually grabbing the second set 6-1.
