CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The University of Pennsylvania cross country teams made the trip down to the University of Virginia on Saturday for the XC23 Invitational at Panorama Farms. The women took 16th place with 386 points, while the men earned 17th with 388 points.
Â
No stranger to the course, the Quakers returned here again this season after a successful trip last year, partially because it is a preview of the NCAA championship that will return to Panorama Farms in November.
Â
The men were led by
Dylan Throop, cruising to a seventh-place finish on a time of 23:20.1 on the 8K course. On the women's side,
Olivia Morganti battled to a 22nd place finish on the 6K course with a time of 20:28.1.
Â
The Quakers wrap up the regular season in two weeks at the Haverford Invitational on Thursday, October 26. Shortly after, Penn makes the trek back up to Franklin Park in Boston for the Ivy League Heptagonal Championship on Saturday, October 28.
